Blend4Web 16.08 Early Developer Preview

Blend4Web 16.08 Developer Preview is available. In the upcoming release:
  • support for "Tangent Shading" material option
  • support for Normap Map node
  • multiple CPU optimizations
  • improved Viewer interface and new debugging tools
  • improved stability on а wide range of mobile devices

The stable release is scheduled in the beginning of the next week.

For the list of new features see the release notes inside the SDK builds.

I have tested the new "offset mode" of Normal editor.
I'm a bit confused by the normal rotations.

What I expect is something like this


Please advice if I got this wrong.

Edit: is it like mixing toward the direction? If so, how many I need to mix to turn the normal 90 degs? Thanks.

Yes you are right. It's like you are attracting the normals to the specified direction. You can't use this tool to precisely control rotation. You should use another method, which I forgot to mention in release notes:

Now you can rotate normals by typing the value in degrees like for usual rotation. Just press Ctrl+Shift+R - X - 90
