Hi,

I am doing planet animations and am not clear on how to apply materials to objects in Blend4Web. I have been using Blender Cycles materials nodes almost exclusively from the start, but I'm having trouble getting the materials on in Blend4Web. Everything will look fine in the material and texture previews and in the viewport, but when I do a fast preview the material will not show up on the object.

In this post, there is a mention of using a geometry node and applying modifiers, but I'm not sure how to do that. https://www.blend4web.com/en/forums/topic/1335/

My projects are mostly being done in Windows because I am able to have the CUDA setting enabled to use
GPU rendering, which I was not able to get working in Linux. These problems could be related to Windows, so I am going to go back to Linux to see if I have better luck.

A detailed beginners tutorial on UV unwrapping a sphere, applying materials step by step, and also how to bake materials in Blenders Cycles and import them to Blend4Web would be very useful.

Thanks

Hi,

I have noticed that the 3D cursor seems to have a mind of its own. I am using Windows 7 64bit and have noticed this behaviour on Blender 32 bit and 64 bit.

If for example I snap the cursor to the center, I see the cursor coordinates in the 3D Cursor location window snap to 0 in all axes, and the 3D cursor moves to the center of the grid. If I then move my computer cursor with my mouse or trackpad to any menu around the edge of the main viewport, the 3D cursor will jump to a random new position on the screen.

I turned off the Blend4web add-on in user preferences, but no change.

Thanks

Hi Alexander,

I installed the MSI version of 2.76b and project manager now opens normally.

Thank you for help and the quick response.

Hi,

I just installed Blender 2.76 64-bit on Windows 7 SP1 and Blend4Web 15_12 SDK.

Menu systems seem laggy in operation, and when launching project manager I am
getting a python.exe error saying MSVCR120.dll is missing on my system.

I uninstalled the 64-bit version of Blender and installed the 32-bit version to see if
it would make a difference, but I still get the same error.

What do you recommend?

Thanks
